Correct loading = cleaner dishes + saves electricity and water + uses fewer tablets. Very few people are taught how to load dishes correctly. Here are 8 important tips.
1. Bottom rack: heavy, dirty items
Load large plates, bowls, pots, pans. Face down and slightly tilted for water to drain.
2. Top rack: glasses, cups, small bowls
Face down, slightly tilted. Place glass cups in their dedicated holders if available.
3. Cutlery: standing holder
Spoons/forks with handles facing down, blades facing up. Sharp knives should be placed blade-down for safety.
4. DO NOT stack dishes
Water won't penetrate between them → dishes remain dirty.
5. DO NOT block spray arms
Manually rotate the spray arms before pressing start — they must spin freely.

6. Dirty side facing the center
The spray arm in the center is the most powerful. Dirty side facing the center, clean side facing outwards.
7. Plastic items: top rack only
Washing temperature at the bottom is higher → soft plastic items will deform if placed on the bottom rack.
8. DO NOT forget to give space for spray arm rotation
Tall utensils (ladles, tongs) should be laid horizontally or in their dedicated holders. Blocked spray arms = interrupted wash cycle.
